It’s been a tiring two weeks, so I’m behind my supposed-to-be every day posts about Shanghai. I hope to get caught up by this weekend, unless I don’t recover from what I believe is a stomach virus. I have just not been lucky with food here.

08/25/2009 – Day 3 – Scavenger hunt
I had to wake up early to take a Chinese placement test, but after speaking with the teacher and telling her that I don’t know a lick of Mandarin, I got out of it. Since I was already awake, I decided to take a walk around the neighborhood to take some pictures.
08/24/2009 – Day 2 – Shanghai is beautiful
First full day here in Shanghai and it was quite eventful. Started out with a breakfast buffet at East China Normal University (ECNU) where NYU holds its classes. After breakfast, we sat through some presentations and did some icebreakers. We also took a group photo in front of the giant Mao statue. ECNU, by the way, has a very pretty campus. Trees, grass, and plants everywhere and small rivers run through. I’ll get around to taking photos of the campus one of these days.
