10/09/2009 – Day 48 – They’re back…

Yes, they came back. Being deathly afraid that they were bed bugs, I once again didn’t sleep on my bed, opting to stay awake for most of the night. Unfortunately for me, I had Tuesday classes the next day. Ouch.
Justine and Guo Xiaojie helped me again, calling the maids to switch my sheets as well as my mattress this time.

09/19/2009 – Day 28 – Pizza!

Another day, another adventure in Beijing. On the agenda was Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace , and the Beijing Olympic stadiums. Amazingly, we got through everything with time to spare at the end! I guess it’s because we woke up at 7:00 AM and it took us the better part of the day to finish seeing everything. 09/08/2009 – Day 17 – Do Tuesdays end?

Class. Lots of class. Way too much class. Seriously, three hour long classes are unbearable, even when they’re interested. They’re just that bad. It’s like the clock doesn’t move during these classes.

Anyways, another Tuesday, another long day of classes. I got my Chinese test back and I didn’t do that badly. An 87.5/100 is pretty decent. City & Environment was interesting. I now know Shi Laoshi loves using Google Earth. He was so excited every time he used it. Such an awesome guy. He was basically showing us the layout of Beijing and some important structures and buildings. I can’t wait until I’m in Beijing next week! Marketing was pretty awesome today. We were discussing trends and consumer groups and near the end of the class, we broke up into groups to make up some consumer group names. My group didn’t fare too well (we just weren’t that good at it), but there were some funny ones. The one that won by a landslide of votes was “Moppies”, which stood for “morbidly obese people”.

09/01/2009 – Day 10 – Food poisoning?

Another day in China, another day to get food poisoning.

Anyways, second day of class and it was harsh. Class from 9 AM to 8 PM is not pleasant, even with pretty large breaks in between. Three hour classes are also dreadful. Unless the class is very interesting, I can’t fathom being able to sit through three hours without getting antsy.
